We are seeking a Maintenance Supervisory with very strong leadership, coaching, mentoring capabilities to motivate the team to adapt new processes and policies to instill continuous improvement and efficiency in their daily responsibilities. Major Responsibilities
- Responsible for implementation, maintenance and enforcement of processes and polices
- Ensure a safe work environment for all employees through direct involvement in resolving any safety related issues, including repairs, re-design, providing instruction on safe operations and good house keeping
- Oversee maintenance and repairs of all equipment and building requirements
- Supervise all equipment modifications
- Supervision and coordination of trades people
- Supervise group of mechanic and support maintenance personnel, train staff, and provide assistance as requested
- Maintain inventory including critical spare equipment/parts, equipment documentation for all manufacturing lines and needed maintenance shop supplies
- Purchasing of parts required for modifications and repairs
- Implement and maintain preventative maintenance program in co-ordination with scheduling and plant management objectives
- Ensuring company policies, labour and environmental legislation obligations are enforced
Minimum Qualifications
- 3-5 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role in a unionized work environment preferably in the automotive industry
- Excellent time management skills, organization skills and the ability to adjust priorities on the go as required
- Strong leadership, coaching. Mentoring
- Process improvements, implementation of new processes, validation and recalibration of new process to drive continuous improvement and efficiencies is essential to your success in this role.
- Excellent trouble shooting and problem resolutions skills, both Technical and Interpersonal
- Well rounded knowledge of applicable industrial codes and Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
- Good knowledge of applicable industrial codes and Health, Safety and Environmental legislation
- Mechanical Engineer OR Millwright OR Electricians ticket
- 4th Class Stationary Engineers ticket would be an asset
- Be responsive to a 24 / 7 on call requirement as needed
